You Design (Or Redesign) Your Web Site
Tips to Maximize the Customers’ Experience
As technology advances and changes, so does the way we communicate
and position ourselves in this emerging digital world.
Yet, when it comes to web design, an old adage still rings true:
Keep it simple. Resist the urge to add a lot of blinking lights,
slow loading images and copy-heavy paragraphs.
Instead, create a professional web presence
with a consistent “look
and feel” throughout the site. Include user-friendly navigation.
Keep copy short and to the point.
Before you even begin to design (or redesign)
your site, put yourself in your customers’ shoes and ask yourself, “What’s
in it for me?” There has to be a demonstrated value — the
answer to their wants and needs. And your task is to give them
that answer as quickly as possible!
Ask yourself these questions:
- Who is my audience?
- What is the purpose of my
web site?
- How do I engage prospects and turn them into
customers?
Always remember, visitors are there for one reason and one reason
only: to gather information. As your electronic company brochure
to the world, make your web site simple to use with design that
is easy on the eye, navigation consistency throughout the site
and meaningful content.
