For instance, 43% of small businesses are spending at least 6 hours per week on social media, focusing mainly on Facebook and Twitter. And, it’s interesting to find out that 55% of small businesses have a blog.

Some small businesses even find value in paying for social media tools to help them with publishing and analytics, and 57.5% spend $26 or more per month on social medial related expenditures.

Small businesses have a lot to consider as they strive to grow and social media can be a great tool to help expand their brand if it’s done correctly and consistently. The challenge is figuring out when you can do everything yourself or when it’s time to bring in a professional to help you with your efforts.
